Rob Zombie NOT Directing 'Halloween 2'?
Certain somebodies have been spreading rumors around the net that Mr. Robert Zombie is directing Halloween 2. You probably didn’t see this on FEARnet, because we were waiting in the wings to say that’s a load of B.S. And guess what? According to Sequel-Buzz, that’s exactly what it is! The site spoke to actress Scout Taylor-Compton, who played the Laurie Strode in Zombie’s revisit of John Carpenter’s classic slasher flick. The ever-articulate Ms. Compton dropped this little bon mot: “People need to stop believing what they read on Internet. I'm somewhat close with Rob and believe me, if there was any truth to this... I'd know.” Hmm… while I don’t doubt that Scout and Mr. Z are, well, close, I do kind of doubt he would talk about career choices with her. Having said that, I do believe that Zombie’s involvement is Halloween 2 is 100% speculation. According to the Halloween 2 announcement the film is set for a release (DTV or theatrical, we’ve yet to find out) next year. How exactly will Zombie be directing this film when he’s got El Superbeasto and Tyrannosaurus Rex in the wheelhouse right now? Here’s an idea – he’s not. What do you think?
