So the Golden Globes were announced yesterday and to our delight, there was alotta love going around for the horror community.  Heath Ledger, who has pretty much already won the Oscar for his role, hauled in a none-too-surprising nod for his turn as The Joker in this summer’s The Dark Knight but stood as the only real horror activity on the film side of things. TV, on the other hand, was set to scare.  Dexter and True Blood both earned nominations for Best Television Series (Drama) as did their stars Michael C. Hall and Anna Paquin for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Dramatic Television Series respectively.  But yhe scariest thing about the Golden Globes this year:  No Best Foreign Language Film nomination for Let the Right One In.  I was sure with all the steam this film had been building up that it’d be a dark horse for the category, especially since it spearheaded Magnolia’s Six Shooter Film Series.  Oh well, I guess we should all just be happy that ANY horror fare got nods (and that WALL-E’s absence in the Best Picture category saved me a cataclysmic brain aneurism).  What do you think?  Did The Dark Knight get snubbed on a best picture and best director nomination?  Should Let the Right One In have been recognized?
