Remember that song back from the late nineties by Backstreet Boys (don’t worry… I’m already embarassed for myself) called “Quit Playing Games With My Heart”? Well Rob Zombie… stop it. Apparently old Zomb-o has big plans to return to the Halloween franchise. Hats off to Shock Till You Drop for being the first to report but Variety takes all the credit this morning reporting that The Weinstein Company has confirmed it all. The Halloween sequel will apparently release under the guise of H2 (not to be confused with the car) and will start shooting in March for an October release. Check out the poster Dimension sent us below.
Zombie who, as we all know, made it quite clear about six hundred times that he wouldn’t be returning said this about his change of heart: "I was so burned out. (But) I took a long break, made a record and I got excited again. Now, we'll be hauling ass, and that's the problem making a movie called Halloween: If you come out Nov. 1 or after, nobody cares. If it was called anything else, I'd be fine."According to the article, Tyler Mane will also return as Michael Myers. My only question is where does this leave Tyrannosaurus Rex? I’m super pumped to see Zombie on the Halloween sequel but I was also dying at the prospect of actually finding out what T-Rex was about – and no, that one line synopsis Roberto’s handing out does not suffice, not after seeing that poster at least. I think Zombie’s pretty much all through with El Superbeasto but, dammit, I want some answers… of the T-Rex variety!
