First 'Mutants' Teaser Trailer!
Fast or slow? Cannibal or non? Zombies seem to be pretty standard fare on the horror scene, but French filmmaker David Morlet plans to reinvent the flesh-hungry wheel of sorts in his upcoming zombie feature, Mutants. And though we've been talking about Mutants for a little while now, the first teaser trailer has finally been released over at Twitchfilm.net.
If you haven't been following the story, Mutants features a pared down cast of only two characters, Helene de Fougerolles (playing Sonia) and Francis Renaud (as Sonia's spouse). The film follows Sonia as she watches her husband make the "zombie transformation." While most zombie filmmakers show the quick snap from ‘bitten/infected-by-zombie-to-turn-into-zombie" Morlet portrays the transformation as a slow, agonizing turn from a human lover, to subhuman, undead, flesh devouring walking corpse that eventually turns on his former spouse for survival. Yeesh! What a downer! But, riding the wave of French horror we've been seeing lately, there are definite high hopes for Mutants so check out the trailer after the jump and tell us what you think!
