When news broke that Jeff “The Dude turned Iron Man villain” Bridges would reprise the role of hacker Kevin Flynn in Tron 2.0, we assume there were joyful riots in the street akin to the celebrations subsequent to the 2008 presidential election. And today, we expect nothing different because Bruce Boxleitner will too reprise his role as Alan Bradley/Tron, the title character in the 1982 film! Boxleitner will also join newbies Olive Wilde--who will play a worker in the virtual world who helps fight Master Control Program--and Beau Garrett who will play a virtual world siren. According to Comingsoon.net, though plot details are not known, Tron 2.0, as the title suggests, is said to serve as the “next chapter” in the Tron saga, only this time all that intercomputer, gladiatorial game fare jumps off over 25 years later when Bridges and Boxleitner are a bit past their “hero” prime.
