'Terminator' Wants to be Your Playmate!
Playmates Toys just released images from their new, "edgy" Terminator Salvation line of action figures. The company (known best for their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Strawberry Shortcake, and Disney Fairies lines of toys) plans to launch a series of 10", 6", and 3.75" action figures this March to coincide with the release of the next entry in the Terminator series. This is really our best chance at seeing characters (especially Skynet villains) this early in the year.
That's exciting, but the problem is…these figures look a little crummy! All sizes come with multiple accessories and are fully articulated. The 10" figures will have metal parts and Terminators get glowing LED eyes. Keep an eye out for other inevitable releases, such as Vehicle/Figure combo sets and a deluxe, 16" Harvester. Hopefully these shoddy figures won't deter collectors from seeing the film!
