Joss Whedon's 'Cabin in the Woods' To Cruise into Theaters

Tom Cruise is really on a roll lately. He’s recently announced that Scientology cured his dyslexia (apparently daughter Suri was supposed to be named Irus. Go figure.) and thereafter, sat down with Joss Whedon to talk about his upcoming horror feature, Cabin in the Woods! Apparently, the anticipated horror film falls under MGM which owns a majority stake in Cruise’s United Artist so Cruise met with Whedon to offer some “suggestions.” Yikes! Don’t worry though according to an interview with Whedon over at SciFiWire.com, looks like it was too little, too late. A familiar story for ol’ Tommy boy. Check after the jump to see what Whedon had to say about his conversation with Cruise and how it’ll affect Cabin in the Woods, hitting theaters February 5, 2010!

"We met with him to hear his suggestions, sort of his take on it," said Whedon. "But it was already sort of in the pipeline when they bought it; that was the idea. We're in preproduction. We start shooting in March, so the train has left the station, and so we're just sort of, well, we're filling up the train."
