The horror community is grieving the loss of filmmaker Ray Dennis Steckler who died yesterday at the age of 70. Steckler spent the past 46 years dedicated to creating independent films on an extremely small budget while keeping a big heart and tons of passion for cinema. Some of his famed credits, (many not appreciated at the time of release), are now widely accepted cult favorites including The Hollywood Strangler Meets the Skid Row Killer, The Thrill Killers and The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies which recently aired on Turner Classic Movies TV channel. Steckler would have turned 71 on January 25th.Here at FEARnet we extend our grievances to the Steckler family during this difficult time.
