A 'Vivid' Horror Future For 'Buffy' star Charisma Carpenter!
If one thing is for sure, ex-San Diego Chargers' cheerleader and former Buffy/Angel star Charisma Carpenter isn't really known for her eye catching and impressive, novels... But alas, that's what the latest Red Sparrow psychological thriller titled Vivid, sort of expects us to believe. Vivid is about a New York novelist (Carpenter, go figure) "who relocates to rural England, only to be rejected by the mistrustful locals and plagued by horrific visions of a massacre at her country manor," according to Variety.com. Also starring in the pic is Ricci Harnett and former The Darkness frontman, Justin Hawkins, who is most famous for letting his own "frontman" come dangerously close to reveling in the on-stage spotlight (yikes!). Vivid is set to shoot in London for a budget of $1.2 million.
Also on the agenda for U.K. low-budget horror tycoons, Red Sparrow, is a Western with Chinese Vampires, titled Bone Orchard with John Landis attached to direct, and youth-horror, Cockneys versus Zombies which we're guessing is set to involve a whole slew of tooth-rotting Cockneys and flesh-eating zombies?
