Most fans would say that what set the 1981 George Mihalka slasher flm, My Bloody Valentine apart from other slashers at the time was the intense love triangle between the three main characters (oh and also the fact that you had adults playing adults!). So when Patrick Lussier set out to remake My Bloody Valentine and put a new spin on a familiar tale, he decided that 2D was old hat? In with the real 3D technology! Love triangles just didn't have enough sides? In with the octagonal romance!

You've got Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles) former boyfriend of Sarah Palmer (Jaime King) who returns to the town of Harmony for some "unfinished business" in his father's mine. But since Tom left after a brutal massacre in the mine a decade prior, former frenemy Axel Palmer (Kerr Smith) who then, was shackin' it up with firecracker Irene (Betsy Rue) but has since married Sarah, became town sheriff and continues a sleezy daily cabin fling with Sarah's hot-to-trot employee at the supermarket, Megan (Megan Boone).   You've got the love of Tom for Sarah, Sarah for Tom, Sarah for Axel, Axel for Sarah sort of when he's not lovin' the sweet ass of Megan and the relentless, unchained love of Tom Atkins' mustache (we love ya Tom!). It's complicated. And all the while, you're just sitting there with your pants around your ankles waiting to scroll down to the half-naked picture of Megan Boone (and who could blame you?).
