It’s not secret that a film adaptation of World War Z written by Max Brooks, has been in the works for some time now, but until today, we haven’t gotten much further than that! Io9.com has scored 6 pieces of “concept try-out art” for the movie from artist Daniel LuVisi, in an attempt to secure his role in the creation of the World War Z film. For those of you not familiar with World War Z, the 2006 novel is about a war against zombies, global pandemic and mass hysteria of a Zombie war. LuVisi says the concept art is based on the Battle of Yonkers from the novel. There’s just nothing like watching rotting zombie flesh get blasted to smithereens so hit the jump to see the full images and see what the LuVisi said about his latest project!
One World War Z, LuVisi said, “This is the image I did, to get on the film World War Z with Marc Forster, director of Quantum of Solace. Can't say what’s going on or what the outcome is right now, but it's not in the negative zone :) This was one of the most difficult images I've ever done. Incredibly challenging to the point where I wanted to quit. But through thick and thin I forced myself to complete it.”
