Super Bowl XLIII Ads Hit the Web!
In case you missed the annual ratings-raping "big game", let us fill you in. The winner: Pittsburgh Steelers. The score: 27-23. The commercials: chock full o’ big-budget genre films boiling over with giant metal-crushing monsters and latex-covered special operatives ready to hit theaters this summer. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the sequel to Michael Bay’s first super-explosive Transformers film (love it or hate it) and again stars Megan Fox (love it) and Shia LaBeouf (hate it). It hits IMAX and regular theaters June 26th.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a live-action film about an elite military unit comprised of special operatives, code-named G.I. Joe, who take on an evil organization and a notorious arms dealer. Directed by Stephen Sommers and starring Sienna Miller, Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum and Marlon Wayans, G.I. Joe hits theaters August 7th.
Star Trek, directed by J.J. Abrams, is a chronicle of the early days of James T. Kirk and his USS Enterprise crew members. It stars Zachary Quintos, Simon Pegg, Winona Rider and John Cho, and hits IMAX and regular theaters May 8th.
