SXSW Embraces Midnight Movies
According to Variety.com SXSW will be adding a 'Midnight Movies' lineup to their March '09 festival in conjunction with Fantastic Fest. SXSW (and Austin alike) have always been friendly to genre fans, but the official pairing of SXSW and Fantastic Fest is potentially great news for horror fans. According to the article, 6 flicks will premiere exclusively at SXSW when the festival hits Austin March 13 - 21. Expect titles to be announced later this month, and rest assured FEARnet will be there.
