McDowell on Loomis in 'Halloween 2' + New Teaser Poster!
Ain't It Cool News has word from a recent SAG event that Malcolm McDowell is talking about his proposed return to Haddonfield in Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 ('H2') shooting this month in Georgia. We have to admit, if Zombie were to bring Loomis back, no one else could do it except for McDowell. Hit the jump to see what McDowell had to say and to see the new teaser poster.
'Regarding "H2"; when the host of the event told McDowell he thought he did an amazing job of stepping into the role of Loomis and that he couldn't picture anyone else taking up the role besides him after the performance he gave in the first film, McDowell thanked him and told him "maybe you ought to tell that to the Weinsteins! We're in the middle of negotiating right now!" He then riffed on the notorious hard-bargaining of the Weinstein Brothers, "Those f*ckers!" He then chuckled and said he was, of course, kidding and said that Zombie, whom he called an "amazing director" (he said this twice during the event), wanted him back...even though McDowell himself thought Loomis must surely be dead...and that the Weinsteins are probably wishing Loomis WAS dead.'
