Lohan NOT the New 'Nightmare's' Nancy
Updated: Justjared.com is reporting that Platinum Dunes producer Andrew Form has exclusively confirmed for them that Lindsay Lohan has been cast as Nancy in the company's upcoming remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, beating out such contenders for the role as Sophia Bush and Danielle Panabaker (the new Friday the 13th). But Drew McWeeny over at Buzzkill.com claims Form's partner Brad Fuller told him this is untrue, and that Form did not confirm this with Justjared.
If this was true, it would be a bold choice. Lohan's persona is that of a Hollowood party girl, putting her 180 degrees from the squeaky clean Nancy of the original Nightmare. There's casting against type, and then there's REALLY casting against type.
