'Madea' Goes To Crystal Lake, Slashes 'Friday the 13th' Success!
How could we let this happen FEARnettians? Seems like the horror community dropped the blood-covered ball and let a cross-dressin’ Tyler Perry sweep his mu-mu wearing way into the number 1 spot at the box office! After last weekend’s $42 million opening and number 1 spot at the box office, Friday the 13th dropped to number 6 and pulled in only $8 million dollars as opposed to the $41 million bought in by Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail. Good news is, Henry Selick’s Coraline pulled itself back up to number 3 and brought in $11 million bringing the film’s total gross to $54 million.
Unfortunately, Paul Blart: Mall Cop is still in the Top 10. What are you thinking?
Alright people, if you want to see another R rated horror movie in the theaters anytime soon you’ll get your gore lovin’ hinds to the theater to watch Jason hack his way through Crystal Lake. Again!
