Spider-Man Spins Official Broadway Release Date!
Stan Lee’s Spider-Man is taking his tights to the only place where a man can feel secure leaping around in a full-length red and blue leotard. (Much like Batman and Robin’s Gotham is the only place George Clooney can sport that nipple suit). according to HollywoodReporter.com the anticipated (we think) 'Spider-Man The Musical' officially has an opening date !
Directed by Julie Taymor with music and lyrics by Bono and the Edge, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark will open on Broadway February 18th 2010 with preview performances beginning January 16th 2010. While this is the first piece of news we're hearing on this in a long time, still no castings have taken place. However, according to the report, table readings will be held with Jim Sturgess (21) and Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler). The two stars previously worked together on movie musical, Across the Universe. Remember that one? Neither do we.
