Fans and friends lined Hollywood Boulevard last week awaiting entry into the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, CA to honor genre legend Forrest J. Ackerman after his death in December 2008.
DreadCentral.com has posted an account of the event from Forry's friend and co-organizer of the tribute, Joe Moe in which he includes almost an entire retelling of the fitting tribute for a genre hero. Hosted by co-organizer Tim Sullivan, the line-up included speakers from Rick Baker and Ray Bradbury to Guillermo del Toro and John Landis who read letters, teared up and laughed about the life of their freind and comrade, Ackerman. Also included in the post is something for fans who were fortunate enough to attend the tribute as well as those who weren't able to trek to the historic theater. After the jump, watch Forrest J. Ackerman's final words to fans via video blog and honor a genre legend. What do you think? Was the tribute fitting for Forry?
