Hardwicke Shepherds Flock in 'Maximum Ride'
After basically being driven out of the Twilight franchise, Catherine Hardwicke is going for a Maximum Ride with Sony’s Columbia Pictures! According to HollywoodReporter.com Hardwicke is in talks to develop and direct the film adaptation of James Pattersons five-volume series about six genetically altered teens--called the Flock because of their half human and half bird composition---who escape the laboratory and are pursued by the Erasers—creatures half human, half wolf of course.
No word on when Maximum Ride will begin filming but we’re guessing it will be a quick turnaround since news of the young-adult fantasy series comes just as the excitement for The Twilight Saga’s New Moon—a film in which Hardwick has no involvement—and the werewolf phenomenon is dawning!
