Apparently Alyssa Milano's years of experience with the supernatural on her late series Charmed have served her well. According to Variety, the fetching actress has won a role in the long-awaited Ghostbusters video game, due out June 16th, just in time for the 25th Anniversary of the original and – oh hell, let's be honest – only Ghostbusters film. And with Sigourney Weaver passing on a return trip to the franchise (in her role of Dana Barrett), Milano is suddenly being touted as the new leading lady.
She'll provide the voice of Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn, "the brainy guest curator of a ‘World of Gozer' exhibit at the Natural History Museum." The trade paper reports that Milano spent a day in the studio recording the voice of her character.
I guess I can live with this. But if Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs show up in the game's inevitable sequel, I'm out of there.
