We just spoke with Philadelphia Cheese Steak Legend and star of The Burnt House, Tony Luke Jr., and boy did he serve us a happy wiz-covered helping of first details on his upcoming werewolf/vampire/biker flick, Ride into Terror…possibly starring b-movie legend Bruce Campbell! Co-written and starring Luke Jr., The Burnt House is, according to the actor, “very Quentin Tarantino-ish.” And with an apparently heavy dose of werewolves, vampires and biker babes, it doesn’t appear that he’s lying! Luke Jr. also gave us a preview of his upcoming starring role as a mute in another top-secret horror flick! Check out these first details after the jump…

About your next horror project…
The next film that I'm working on is a film that I wrote with my son Michael called Ride into Terror, which is such a great script. It's very Quentin Tarantino-ish. It's about werewolves and vampires and bikers and hot biker chick strippers.

Very From Dusk till Dawn...
Yes.

So would you star in Ride into Terror as well?
Yes, I play Wolf.

If I'm not mistaken, you played Henry the Werewolf in Dracula Baby at Philadelphia’s Chestnut Street Theater years ago. So you've always had that werewolf bug, huh?
Oh my god. How do you know that? That was in the early 1980s. Yeah. Harry the Werewolf. [Laughs.] I love action films and I'm a big vampire buff and werewolf buff--now everyone calls them Lycans. I always liked that.

To get a chance to play Wolf will be great. I try to keep within my age. My biggest pet peeve with Hollywood--and I’ve said this before--the reason why Clint Eastwood gets so much attention and wins all of these awards is because he plays his age. There’s nothing worse than seeing a 65-year-old actor in an action movie where his girlfriend is 23 years old, he’s beating up guys that are muscle-bound drug dealers. I don’t care how good of an actor you are, your skin is wrinkled and you look like somebody’s grandfather--so play that role. Every role that I’m doing now, I always say, I’m in my 40s. If I color my beard I can get away with 30s, if you’re drunk and the camera is out of focus…

So Wolf is age appropriate?
Wolf is in his 40s. He’s an outlaw biker who is a strange character. He’s kind of a loner. The girls kind of befriend him when one of them gets kidnapped by one of the lead vampires, who I’m desperately—-and I might have a good shot—-trying to get Bruce Campbell to play. I love Bruce Campbell. He’s so iconic.

I love playing the hero/anti-hero. Wolf is the same thing, he’s the hero/anti-hero. Every character I like to play is flawed. He has to fight in this movie and he does win, but he literally needs an oxygen tank and an ambulance when it’s over. He throws four punches, he’s out of breath. I try to put that realism in there.

Have you been in touch with Bruce?
I have very dear friends of mine who are in touch with him and they’ve read the script and said, “Tony, Bruce would do this in a minute.”

Any other horror projects coming up?
I was just offered a lead in a new horror film. I was more intrigued to do it since he doesn't have any dialogue. He's a very complex character. He's mentally challenged and deformed. He's in the whole movie but he never says a word. For an actor that's a dream, because to have to relay all these emotions and never utter a single word is not an easy task. It's something I'm really looking forward to. I love acting so I don't care what the budget is. I just have a good time.
