Summit Entertainment, the good people who brought you Twilight, Push, and Knowing, are working on aquiring the rights to the script Elevator Men. Written by former Dreamworks exec Marc Haimes, the story is a reaction to films and television like Twilight and True Blood. It still deals with humans wanting to interact with vampires and monsters, but according to Summit, this story takes a more realistic approach.
According to Haimes via Hollywood Reporter, 'This is the dark, sinister version of what really happens when you decide you're going to get close to really bad things. That fantasy element is something I wanted to look at and play the exact opposite, the grim reality of bedding down with a monster.' Sounds good to us, we're tired of believing that Edward wouldn't have devoured Bella fifteen pages into the book!
