This is the kind of story I never want to report, but it's both unavoidable and inevitable. Because the more people one interviews in this world, the more likely one of them will depart it far too early... E!'s Watch with Kristin is reporting that Angel's Andy Hallett (a.k.a. Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan, a.k.a Lorne, a.k.a "The Host") passed away last night at the age of just 33 after losing a five-year battle with heart disease.

So I did. He spent hours with me on that set, chatting during the grueling makeup removal process, etc. He was quite an altruist too -- as a guest at Mid-Ohio Con, he hosted the convention's charity karaoke, regardless of how many people showed up for it. It's cruel irony -- and a horrible but nonetheless true cliche -- that the guy who had the biggest heart also had the weakest.
