Actor Paul Bettany (who played that freaky bleach blonde self-flagellating monk in The Da Vinci Code) will make good on all those years as alter boy when he plays the lead in the upcoming horror-western Priest. According to The Hollywood Reporter. Screen Gems is producing the film, which is an adaptation of a TokyoPop comic book of the same name. It follows a warrior priest (the best kind of priest) who rejects the church to find his kidnapped niece in a world devastated by centuries of war with vampires.
