'XXXombies' to Undress On Screen?
MTV's comic and movie blog Splash Page just got some interesting info on a possible movie adaptation of Rick (Fear Agent, The Last Days of American Crime) Remender's horror comic XXXombies. The comic follows an adult film cast and crew as they run for their lives from a horde of mindless zombies. It's a good comic premise, and an even better movie premise! According to what Remender wrote on his twitter page today "137 pages long but it's done. The mother f***er first draft is done." He's referring, we can only assume, to the first draft of the script for XXXombies. Splash Page spoke with him about the matter, and he confirmed that he was writing the screenplay with series co-creator Kieron Dwyer. No word on the prospects of the script, but he said he could neither confirm nor deny that a studio was interested. Shock Till You Drop adds, ‘While MTV couldn't get Remender to divulge any more details about the screen adaptation, ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned the rights have been sold to a production entity’. Don't expect a lot of news fast on this one, the time between first draft and production is usually painfully long. Still, it’s exciting news and a really cool concept.
