'Sin City 2' is a Ghost Town for Weinstein Company

It’s been four years since the release of the Robert Rodriguez directed adaptation of Frank Miller’s Sin City and since then, sequel rumors have been buzzing. Lately we’ve been hearing that a script is written and casting has been discussed, but today news comes to us from IESB.net that Sin City 2 is no longer under the control of the mighty Weinstein Kingdom! Apparently, The Weinstein Company no longer holds the rights to the sequel and will not be able to produce the anticipated Sin City 2. Robert Rodriguez’ Trouble Maker studios will still produce and rumors have surfaced hinting that Universal Studios has come up as a possible contender to distribute.
