We broke the exclusive story about Kyle Gallner playing a lead in the new A Nightmare on Elm Street last month, and now our news has been confirmed by the trades. We spoke with Gallner last month about his roles in Haunting in Connecticut and Jennifer's Body, see what he had to say about his role in A Nightmare on Elm Street after the jump!
"I'm actually waiting to hear back about the new A Nightmare on Elm Street," reveals Gallner. "Friday the 13th is scary because it's this crazy guy going around killing people and there's that supernatural element in there too. With A Nightmare on Elm Street, it's so freaky. As long as you are awake, you are safe. But whether you want to or not, your body is going to fall asleep, and that's when Freddy Krueger gets you. That whole concept is terrifying. If you get hurt or killed in your dreams, there's nothing you can do about it. You are completely helpless."
Looks like Kyle better get used to that feeling of helplessness! He'll be running through misty dreamscapes from our new Freddy, Jackie Earl Haley all through the night!
