'Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter' Gives IFC Bite!

Good news, vampire lovers. IFC’s first original event telefilm has some serious bite! According to BroadcastingCable.com, the channel has picked up Laurel K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter and is slated to begin production on the adaptation this summer for a release in 2010. The Anita Blake book series is considered “erotic fantasy” in some of the later books but the film adaptation is said to be a mixture of “fantasy, mystery and horror.”

Erotic fantasy, mystery, horror, vampires and a lady vampire hunter? This has got to be right up your dark, deserted alley, right?
