Celebrate 'Mother's Day' With Darren Lynn Bousman!
Darren Lynn Bousman is taking on?literally?the (ahem) mother of all remakes, the 1980 cult horror classic, Mother?s Day. With the Hallmark holiday celebrating ?ma quickly approaching this Sunday, May 10th, what better time to release news of the remake. Mother?s Day will come to us from the guys behind the Saw franchise--better known in the biz as Twisted Pictures--Mark Burg, Oren Kouls and Carl Mazzacone. According to Variety.com, the script from Scott Milam follows a villainous family led by a sadistic mom who terrorize the new owners of the family?s former home. Well, screw Scanners and those other allusive 1980s remakes floating around the Bousman rumor mill! I?m ready for some of Bousman?s mama! And you can take that however you want it folks?
When will the pic release? They?re planning on beginning production this summer for a release nearing Mother?s Day 2010. Nothing like taking ?ma to brunch and a bludgeon fest!
