According to Variety.com, Warner Bros. has scooped up the screen rights to that crazzzazay show that airs on BBC America and Sci Fi Channel, Primeval. For the unacquainted, the series centers on a covert team responsible for attempting to close wormhole time portals to disallow ferocious prehistoric creatures (like some pissed off T-rex) from clashing with futuristic creatures. Just another day at the office. A writer for the screen adaptation script has not been chosen but will reportedly be confirmed by Akiva Goldsman (Angels and Demons). The series has run three seasons thus far.
"There is a solid mythology to the series, but the movie has the dinosaur element of Jurassic Park and the time travel element of Lost, and it just feels like the kind of big movie that Warner Bros. does well," said producer Kerry Foster.
So are you ready for a Primeval adventure or would Jurassic Park IV fancy your fossil?
