There's a cool Sam Raimi article in the NY Times this morning that I wanted to bring to everyone's attention. It's a great read, not only because of the mainstream press that Raimi's been getting for Drag Me to Hell, the article actually (with Raimi's help of course) takes a stab (please don't pardon the delicious pun) at validating the horror genre. Raimi's return to the genre he began in is an important one, especially for anyone who feels they've had to tirelessly defend the genre we all know and love. But it's not just the NY Times, open up you local paper this week or do a Google News search for Sam Raimi and you'll see tons of articles popping up in mainstream media along with local magazines and newspapers giving Raimi and the horror genre props. Welcome back Sam, we missed ya.
