E3 2009: Kojima to Revive 'Castlevania' UPDATED
It sounds like some sort of nerd dream come true: Hideo Kojima, master of such video game classics as the Metal Gear series and Snatcher, will be overseeing the development of a new Castlevania title on Xbox 360 and PS3. More after the break.
Titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the game will be developed by MercurySteam (who proved their horror chops with the flawed-but-nasty Clive Barker’s Jericho), and will hopefully do a 3D Castlevania right. “Forget what you know about Castlevania,” says producer Dave Cox, “This is what a next-gen Castlevania should be.” Yeesh, how many times can I type Castlevania in one blog post?
