'Twilight' Star a Vampire Once More -- in 'Priest'
Fresh off his win for 'Best Fight' (from Twilight) at the MTV Movie Awards, actor Cam Gigandet will soon be wearing his fangs again -- when he takes on a lead role in Priest. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming vampire western, based on the hit manga, will feature Gigandet as a "young wasteland sheriff who is part vampire."
Gigandet partners with the title character, played by Paul Bettany -- "a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece." (Gigandet's character is in love with the niece.)
Priest will be released by Screen Gems, which is also handing Gigandet's next film, another genre thriller, The Roommate.
