Not all fairy tales are for the little ones. New on DVD today is a triple bill of the creepiest fairy tale to film adaptations you have probably ever seen. Christina Ricci headlines with a disturbing short based on Little Red Riding Hood, and if this disc proves one thing and one thing only, it's that adults do relish in the ability to scare the crap out of kids. But then again, this is the foundation that the house of Disney was built on. Prepare to be disturbed and hit the jump for full disc details.

Don't be fooled by the headlining title, Little Red Riding Hood. This 1997
12-minute B&W short stars a young 'flesh-eating' Christina Ricci and a ballet dancing wolf who successfully charms the pants off of her...literally (but not gratuitously).

The two shorts that follow, Little Suck-a-Thumb and The Frog King are equally as disturbing, but oddly watchable, leaving me wanting more. The disc features all three shorts and commentaries, and at about 10 bucks on Amazon, comes recommended.
