SDCC 2009: 'Dollhouse' Exclusive DVD and Blu-Ray

You have a lot of options for merch at Comic-Con. As if your wallet weren’t already groaning, here’s another goodie: Fox will be offering a limited edition Dollhouse set. Available for pre-order starting today at the Fox website, the Dollhouse Comic-Con exclusive is limited to 2,500 Blu-rays and 2,500 DVDs (a handful will be available for purchase on-site at Comic-Con). These sets are pick-up only at Comic-Con, and photo ID is required, but you can designate a buddy to pick it up on your behalf. More goodies after the jump.

So what’s in it for you? Each set is numbered, and comes in exclusive collectible packaging. A personal letter from show creator Joss Whedon is also included. The best part? If you order from Comic-Con, you get to pick up your discs nearly a week earlier than the general public. Pick-ups begin July 22; the discs are not available in stores until July 28. The Blu-Ray will sell for $69.99 and the DVDs for $49.98; in a rarity for collector’s editions, the MSRP is the same for standard retail editions. Check out the FOX site to preorder.
