Suicide Silence is rising fast in the New American Metal scene lately, especially following last month’s release of their second studio album No Time To Bleed… and here at FEARnet we’ve had the sweet good fortune to score the online premiere of their trippy, terrifying and mega-brutal video for the single Wake Up. One of Century Media’s hottest new artists, this melodic death metal/metalcore fusion powerhouse has been making headlines and landing raves for No Time To Bleed – the follow-up to their acclaimed debut The Cleansing, which had previously become the label’s best-selling album ever. The new project, which the band says “will make their debut offering seem like easy listening,” benefits from the production skills of Machine, who has worked with metal heavyweights like Lamb of God, White Zombie, Clutch and Coal Chamber.

Well before last month’s release, the band had already previewed some of the album’s tracks during the “Cleansing the Nation” and “Music as a Weapon” tours… and one of those songs was Wake Up, which premiered online in early June, and is now accompanied by a demented new video – a swirling psychedelic nightmare featuring vocalist Mitch Lucker working his diabolical hypno-powers (including swirling eyeballs) on a foxy femme.
