Celebrate 'Mother's Day' with 'True Blood' Star
Deborah Ann Woll (that mousy teen vampire Jessica Hamby on HBO's True Blood) has been cast in Darren Lynn Bousman's (Saw II, III, IV, Repo!) Mother's Day remake. In the original Mother's Day, three young girls are abducted, tortured and raped by a deranged pair of brothers and their mother (and they say 'torture porn' is a recent invention?), but none of those roles were good enough for Woll...
According to THR 'The remake sees the villainous family, slightly expanded to include a daughter (Woll), return to the house where they grew up and terrorize the new owners and their guests.' The makers are eyeing a spring release timed for Mother's Day (the holiday, that is) with a shoot to begin in the fall in Manitoba.
