No, this isn't exactly more KISS news (although you can expect some of that in the near future as Sonic Boom rapidly approaches), but it's still an interesting tidbit for FEAR fans. The notorious Gene Simmons has recently revealed on his official website that he has been approached to supply some monstrous vocal effects for Benicio Del Toro's character in Universal's upcoming (and repeatedly delayed) The Wolf Man reboot. Keep reading and find out what the God of Thunder himself had to say about the project...

According to an update from Gene via his official website, the rock icon announced that he was “proud to have been asked to come in and do the ‘howling' voice for Universal's The Wolf Man.” Simmons was invited aboard the troubled production while some additional effects were still in the works, and declares what he’d seen so far “looked terrific.” He also mentioned that the father of the original film’s star, Lon Chaney Jr., was a great creative inspiration.

"[Lon] Chaney Sr. was called 'Man Of 1,000 Faces' and for me, was a pivotal figure in my childhood,” Gene recalls. “So much so, that I wrote a song called 'Man Of 1,000 Faces' on my 1978 solo album, and my production company (which signed VAN HALEN, when I found 'em in a club and other artists) was also called Man Of 1,000 Faces... in homage to Chaney.”

In related news, Simmons was also in talks to provide the voice of the Dragon Sprit in M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming anime adaptation The Last Airbender, but according to the artist, “This may or may not come to fruition. We'll see."
