Shhhh! There’s a Super-Secret 'Phantasm' Project on the Way
Ya gotta hand it to Director Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-Tep), if nothing else he’s managed to single handedly bleed the Phantasm name COMPLETELY dry. The man has made no less than FOUR Phantasm films, which is true dedication for a series that of late has not been given much love. At some point Coscarelli has to sit back and ask himself why he’s doing this. I myself love the Phantasm series, even the direct to video drek, so news of another super-secret Phantasm project actually has me quite giddy. And the best part? I think I know what it is...
Horror Yearbook reports that a new Phantasm project has been ‘lensed and is nearly finished’. We’ve heard rumblings for a while so I guess it’s OK to say now that we’re pretty sure that it’s a web series. Hopefully, now that news has broken, more info will shortly follow. Finding a home for this series on the internets…that's gonna be another story.
