Is 'Halloween 3-D' on Hold?
According to Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood it is. Apparently a script was delivered this past Friday and according to Finke, Bob Weinstein shut down Halloween 3-D pre-production 'because Bob just felt it was rushing too fast.' Looks like director Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine 3-D) is now free to begin production on Drive Angry (which we told you about here). According to the article the Weinstein's will wait until Lussier 'is free' ... or they have more money.
Also of note...at the end of the piece it's mentioned that TWC plans to re-release Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 in select theaters this October for some midnight showings. If that's not an act of desperation, I don't know what is.
