The first new Hammer production in over twenty years, the web series Beyond the Rave made its debut on MySpace last year to, well, rave reviews (sorry) on both sides of the Atlantic. Now the undying British studio's serialized twist on the vampire mythos is making its way to home video, in a limited edition run of only 5000 copies, each individually numbered, and available in both NTSC and PAL formats. (The series is available to order online at BeyondtheRave.net.)
According to Hammer, two of the main extras -- both exclusive to the DVD -- are:
Episode 21: "Necro's First Kill" -- this is an extended episode, which tells the story of what happens to three of the vampires who survive the rave: Lilith (Lois Winstone), Necro (Matthew Forrest) and Uncle Leopold (Trevor Byfield).
The Curse Of Castle Nymphenstein -- this is the film that Danny Crocker is enjoying when he's rudely interrupted by Terry (in episode 6).
Sink your teeth into four all-new and exclusive images from this bonus content after the jump. (Note: All images are courtesy of Matthias Hoene/Hammer Films)
Emily Booth stars as The Countess Nymphenstein, who is "suffering from a terrible curse."
Les Simpson as "The Blacksmith", who comes to Castle Nymphenstein hoping to satisfy the Countess's carnal urges.
In episode 21, "Necro's First Kill (After The Rave)", Uncle Leopold meets the landlady of the run-down seaside boarding house where three of the rave's surviving vampires plan to hide out.
Again in episode 21, "Necro's First Kill (After The Rave)", Necro suffers from lack of fresh blood.
