'Paranormal Activity' Passes 100 Million!

It's official -- word has reached us from Paramount that, as of Friday, the studio's Paranormal Activity has grossed over one-hundred million dollars at the box office, in just five weeks; and become the top-grossing R-rated thriller of the past decade. Not bad for a movie that cost only fifteen thousand to make in an unknown director's home.   

Of course that director, Oren Peli (pictured above with, from right to left, Paranormal stars Katie Fetherston and Micah Sloat), isn't exactly unknown any more. His next film, Area 51, is already garnering quite a bit of buzz, as it looks to marry his improvisational shooting technique to an X-Files style tale of alien invasion.

And to think we were there at the beginning, hosting two of the film's premiere screenings, in Seattle and San Francisco. Our little PA is also grown up!
