If you're looking for stuff to do next week, you could do much worse than hitting the Los Angeles launch party on Thursday, November 19 for 'The Concrete World' -- held from 9 PM to 12 AM at Matsumoto?s 2nd Street Jazz in Little Tokyo.

A new online comic from FEARnet's own Gavin Hignight (pictured below with artistic collaborator Jettila Lewis), Concrete World promises to be an intriguing new cyberpunk vision with funky manga-influnced art and more than a few pop-culture references.

According to Hignight, "It will be an evening of future-fashion, international electronic music and celebration of the cyberpunk genre.  Tune In Tokyo joins forces with Rebel Side Kick Studios to celebrate the release... Cyberpunk fashion is strongly suggested but not required.  The Concrete World prizes will be awarded to the top 10 cyberpunk outfits (fashions) of the evening.  Also, limited edition signed and numbered The Concrete World prints will be available for sale (made exclusively for the release party, not to be sold elsewhere!)"

To get on the Free RSVP list for the event, email theconcreteworld@gmail.com

Normal admission to Tune In Tokyo is $5 for 21+over and ten dollars under 21
