It's been a long time coming, but Roger Corman has finally received his Oscar. At the annual Governors Awards ceremony, honoring the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award recipients, Corman was, fittingly, handed his trophy by former protege Jonathan Demme, who directed Corman in his cameo appearance in The Silence of the Lambs, for which Demme received an Oscar for directing.
