First Official Photo of Mad Hatter Depp!
Disney just sent us the first official photograph of Tim Burton's latest maniac, the Mad Hatter, as portrayed by Burton regular Johnny Depp in the director's upcoming take on Alice in Wonderland. Check out the full image after the jump.
We've seen this Hatter before in artwork and on posters, but what do you think of this photo of Depp in character? The look is as distinct and imaginative as anything in Burton's previous work. But the look isn't what's sometimes shaky in Burton's movies -- it's the story. Here's hoping Linda Woolverton's screenplay is strong enough to withstand any visual extravagances (however gorgeous they may be) on the part of the director.
