Finntroll Launch Trailer for "Nifelvind"
Demonic folk-metal outfit Finntroll have just released a wicked trailer for their long-awaited new studio album Nifelvind... so between that and their recently-posted video for the album’s first single Solsagan, it looks like we're in for some dark metal mayhem from the Finnish wilderness next month. Finntroll are known worldwide for their rustic brand of dark pagan metal incorporating traditional and modern instruments to weave “Tales of bitter dead walking again, sagas of good and evil and songs of divine ascension.” The band announced last fall that the new eleven-track studio album will be a more diverse offering, expanding the band's signature style with “music themes ranging from powerful death metal riffs to dark soundtracks, from pounding black metal to groovy 80's pop-music.”
Nifelvind is slated for North American release on March 9th (after making its European debut this month) and the promotional tour will begin on February 19th with the band headlining this year's Paganfest tour.
