After thirteen years of crafting haunting, atmospheric tunes for Halloween spookhouses and horror soundtracks – not to mention their first feature film production The Dead Matter set to premiere this year – the prolific creative team of Midnight Syndicate have never actually released an official music video... until now, that is. A video for Dark Legacy – a new track from the forthcoming Dead Matter companion CD Cemetery Gates – will be premiering in just a few weeks, and we've got some devilish details below the fold, so take a look!

For the Dark Legacy video, Midnight Syndicate founder Edward Douglas teamed up once again with Precinct 13 Entertainment, FX guru Robert Kurtzman's Creature Corps and award-winning director David Greathouse – whose credits include Mushroomhead's gore-drenched video for 12 Hundred (the Headbanger's Ball 2007 Video of the Year) and that same band's Your Soul is Mine, featured most recently on the DVD of SAW VI. He also completed work on the documentary Legion of Terror, about the long-running Ohio haunted house troupe of the same name.

The video will make its world premiere during the TransWorld 15th Halloween & Attractions Show in St. Louis on March 25th. More info is available at the show's official siteThe Dead Matter is slated for release on July 30th, and we'll have more details on that very soon. So don't stray too far, if you know what's good for you...
