Cult horror icon Bill (“music is my life!”) Moseley told FEARnet last year about his team-up with composer Rani Sharone to form the surreal combo Spider Mountain – whose music will soon be heard on the soundtrack to Tim Sullivan’s splatter sequel 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams. But in the meantime, the band has put together a creepy little claymation video to accompany their first single, Rolling Hills. Check out the video and learn more about Spider Mountain below the fold...
Revered among horror fans for legendary roles like “Chop-Top” in Tobe Hooper's Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and Otis P. Driftwood in Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, Moseley's love for eccentric musical projects is nothing new: he also received critical nods and fan acclaim as half of the duo Cornbugs, along with axe-master Buckethead. Spider Mountain's output sounds a tad more folksy, but no less chilling... and damn catchy, too.
Rolling Hills is the first single from their 13-track debut album No Way Down, which Moseley is offering in a limited autographed edition from his official site, Chop-Top's BBQ . It also features the track Lord Let Me Help You Decide from the Field of Screams soundtrack. Moseley will of course be appearing in the film itself, alongside his old Repo! bro, Skinny Puppy frontman Ogre.
Come explore those Rolling Hills right now!
