What 'A Horrible Way to Die'
We love AJ Bowen around here. Actually, I don't know about the collective 'we' but I love AJ Bowen. Don't know him? You will soon, because he's quickly making a name for himself in all things genre and he loves these films just as much as we do (or I do). He's been featured in films like The Signal, Ti West's The House of the Devil and Adam Green's upcoming Hatchet 2. He's the only actor I know that could carry a scene in the abysmal Creepshow 3 (his acting partners were a portable radio and a prostitute) and he loves Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood as much as I do. Today it was officially announced that Bowen will star in A Horrible Way to Die, which is currently shooting in Columbia, Mo. Hit the jump for more.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bowen stars alongside mumblecore actors Amy Seimetz and Joe Swanberg in A Horrible Way to Die. The story, written by Simon Barrett (Dead Birds) centers on an escaped murderer (Bowen) in pursuit of his ex-girlfriend (Seimetz), who has fled to start a new life in a small town. Swanberg plays her budding boyfriend.
Travis Stevens, Simon Barrett and Kim Sherman are producing; Bradley Miska of Bloody Disgusting is associate producing with Joe McKelheer.
