After careful study of the latest A Nightmare on Elm Street trailer, I've learned seven important things...which I will share with you after the jump.
1. Freddy Krueger hates people who drive SUVs. Stay on his good side and buy a hybrid.
2. Marcus Yeon owns the last working black and white webcam. He'd probably have an easier time staying awake if he played Chatroulette.
3. Also, Nancy Thompson owns the only Dell in Springwood running Safari on Mac OS X (see #2, above).
4. Freddy Krueger might be a Communist. Note the images of Lenin and Stalin decorating his nightmare classroom, and his use of the red K on the blackboard. At least I'm pretty sure he supports death panels.
5. Quentin's mom dresses him funny. This grey on grey on grey ensemble is guaranteed to keep his virginity intact until college.
6. What's bad for Wall Street is really, really bad for Elm Street. Judging by these two images, the recession has done far more damage to Springwood than Freddy Krueger ever could. Also note: Freddy's got mad hops.
7. Someone in the art department has a thing for birds. Symbolism? Coincidence? Guess we'll have to wait until April 30 to find out.
That's what I learned, now it's your turn. Watch the trailer for yourself and share your insights in the comments.
